What’s a Bridal Portrait Session?
Bridal portraits are solo images of the bride in her wedding attire at the start of the day. To photograph the bride early on a wedding day is an important part, as this allows for the photographer to make a connection with the bride on the day of the wedding. A wedding can be a stressful day for both the photographer and the bride, so what better way when things can be a little calm.
Taking Beautiful Bridal Portraits
Yes, there have been trial runs with pre-wedding photo shoots but the atmosphere is a bit different in the actual day. Tips from this photographer is to make the bride looking beautiful in pictures, show her the images on the camera screen. It’s your chance to talk to her one to one to calm her nerves if necessary. Remember its her 1st time of getting married and centre of all the attraction. Bottom line: Capturing wedding portraits she still love in years from now.
When to Get The Bride’s First Portraits Taken on Wedding Day
The shoot should ideally be straight after the make-up artist has finished and the bride is in her wedding dress. This is when the bride will be looking the most stunning. Pre-plan the shoot so everybody is aware and have time allocated. Ideally i would like 30 minutes for the bridal portrait photography session. If things are running late, which can happen at Indian weddings, I can still active great results in 15 minutes.
