Asian Pre Wedding Shoot With Canadian Flag

26/07/2016 by admin

As I encourage the couples to bring their ideas on the pre wedding shoots, Mihir  wanted to  include the Canadian flag at this pre wedding shoot. After all  he is an Asian born in Vancouver, a bustling west coast seaport in British Columbia, Canada and wanted to show his background although he now lives in London and supports Arsenal football club.

My overall wedding photography package price includes the cost of pre wedding shoot.

Kakamega Reunion 2015 at Jungle Club Leicester

30/11/2015 by admin

Below are photos taken at Kakamega Reunion at the Jungle Club Leicester. Around 25o friends and neighbours from a wonderful town in Kenya met up at this 1st reunion. Some had not met in almost 40 years but people had not forgotten  the very special bond and spirit people of Kakamega have for each other.

Last night after the event finished the Whatspps group was buzzing with comments, below are just a few :

“Thank you everyone!
We shared a few tears for those dear ones whose presence was deeply missed today …sadly, they can only live on in our hearts now.

We also shared many laughs today too! I lost count of how many times we heard “Oh my God, is that…?” or “Tamme kon cho?”

It was an honour to learn about and feel respect for our ancestors today. They survived the turbulent journey from India in sail boats and steamer boats to arrive in Kenya & develop Kakamega.

It’s because of their courage, skills and hard work that we, the 3rd and 4th generations of Kakamegians, are able to spread the Kakamega spirit and ‘sanskars’ wherever we may now live across the world.

I’m very proud of our ancestor’s sacrifices & the legacy that they’ve gifted us; proud of today’s reunion organisers especially Mangal ji and very proud of all of us for making today very special.
Jai Mangal
Jai Kakamega
Jai Hind

Sujata Barot, grand daughter of Haribhai D Barot.”

“We were able to CREATE a duplicate Kakamega in Leicester
Thank you all for participating
The is talk of town all over wherever KakamegaWalla are. Nothing is impossible we will do even bigger one soon”

**********

“Hello Pravin, Gumanbhai,Bhagatbhai,Saujani brothers and not forgetting my brothers. What can i say?.Thankyou so much for your hard work.”

**********

“I would like to thank each n everyone, who made the effort of coming to Leicester n making our first Kakamega reunion so fantastic. My special thanks to Pravin,Bhagatsinh’s Mansukh Modi n Savjani’s brothers. This reunion would not have been possible,if I didn’t have the support of these people.I want to request everyone who has taken any photos or videos of this reunion,to post it so v can try n make an album.”

MY WEDDING SPEECH – by Mcfly’s Tom Fletcher

10/01/2013 by admin

Best Wedding Speech?

Tom Fletcher, from McFly, has released his groom’s wedding speech in which he sings to his bride. Having married his long term girlfriend last May, he has now shared his special speech from his special day on Youtube.

On his Twitter account, he tweeted ‘For anyone who couldn’t be there with us on our wedding day last year, here’s my speech.’ but then said ‘I’m definitely NOT sharing the best men’s speech so you’ll have to make the most of mine I’m afraid!’

Before launching into speech err.. song, he said: “I don’t have any idea how to write a good speech but I do know how to write a song, so I hope this isn’t cheating my way out of it too much.”
The video was uploaded to youtube just a couple of days ago and the video has going viral thanks to people twitting on Twitter, everyone posting a video of Tom wedding speech all over Facebook timeline, and new papers such as The Telegraph and London’s radio station Heart picking up on the trend. Everone is talking about this video, if you don’t believe me just go to Google and search for “mcfly my wedding speech”

Uploaded less than two days ago, the video has already had 3.7 million views around the world and shows no signs of slowing.

Has he single handedly made every subsequent groom’s wedding speech obsolete or will other groom’s try to follow him by singing

Being a wedding photographer in London, I have captured many groom’s wedding speeches, this has to be one of the best.

Asian Wedding Photography at Hilton London Wembley

Asian Wedding Photography at Hilton London Wembley

Here are the photographs from the first ever asian wedding and reception the Hilton London Wembley, a brand new hotel near Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Being the first london wedding photographer to provide a wedding photography package at this new venue, I arrived early so I could walk around the hotel to see the most photogenic areas of the hotel which would be used in a creative and artistic manner. I found there are so many areas where I could do the couple’s after wedding portrait shoot.

I also got to say hello to all the other suppliers for this fantastic event – wedding caterers and events manager – Ragmama Ragasaan, J & I Mandap services – who set up the mandap and foyer area, Ravi Shastri – the Hindu Priest. We all had high praises for this new wedding venue ( the Hilton London Wembley ) and we all agreed this was going to be a popular premier venue for indian / asian weddings in North London.

Reportage style, natural wedding photography was requested by the couple, with only some posed couples portraits. Having met Rupa & Manish a few times before the wedding day they were both relaxed whilst i captured the images during the marriage ceremony and they were say their vows. Also we had discussed the photo shooting plans for their wedding day which helped as they had a tight schedule with both the wedding and reception of the same day. Working with the wedding videographer who was filming his high definition ( HD ) videography, we were both using the excellent Canon 5D Mark II camera. He was using it to film video and I was shooting the WEDDING PICTURES, both using professional cameras and L series lenses to for top quality results.

Asian Engagement Photography for Alpa & Dipan in Kingston

10/08/2012 by admin

Asian Engagement Photography at Raven’s Ait in Kingston

When Alpa first mentioned her asian engagement ceremony was at a fantastic wedding venue on an island in Kingston, Greater London, I was really looking forward to doing the photography for her and Dipan. I visited the Raven’s Ait website and my initial thoughts were I could really create some amazing photographs at this scenic and unusual wedding venue.

However as the day of the engagement approached I was a bit concerned as the weather has not been fantastic this summer with all the rain and our plans for going out on the boat around the island for some of the portraits photography would be difficult. As it happened the prayers of both mums were answered and the engagement day was sunny and dry.

I arrived at the venue early as the only way on to the island was by boat and also wanted to photograph both Alpa & Dipan when they arrived onto the islands. You don’t get the couple and guests arriving by boat at a Greater London wedding venue, so it was great to capture their reactions whilst on the boat.

Over 250 family and friends joined the couple and their families for the engagement ceremony in the larger Marque at Raven’s Ait. Dipan once again went down on bended knee to propose to Alpa, followed by the ring ceremony and the chundri ceremony. One of Dipan’s uncles, Pradapbhai, described the events and order of the engagement ceremony, with explanations behind some of the rituals we asians undertake in a fantastic jovial manner that all the guests enjoyed the ceremony.

After lunch, it was time for the couples portraits, using the island’s and the venues features to great effect. I wanted to show the thames river in some of the photographs from the island. but the best images were taken when we went onto the boat around the island. It was great to see both Alpa and Dipan enjoying themselves and I managed to capture so great natural moments.

Back on the island it was time for the DJ to play his music, the couple to do the first dance and the guests soon joined them on the dance floor.

Below are some of the great photographs taken on the day. This Greater London wedding venue was amazing to capture the beautiful and stunning images the ceremony.
